Please read this document carefully and in full before creating an account. By creating an account on GeeperPets, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms of Service.

Violation of these Terms will result in action taken against your account, which may include warnings or suspensions. Repeated or severe violations will result in permanent termination. GeeperPets reserves the right to terminate any account at any time, for any reason, without notice or appeal.

Account Registration

Minimum Age

GeeperPets is intended for users who meet the minimum legal age for data processing and online services in their country of residence:

  • 16+ — Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland, Hungary, and other countries with a 16+ requirement
  • 14+ — Italy, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, South Korea, Lithuania, Croatia, Cyprus, Latvia, and other countries with a 14+ requirement
  • 13+ — United States and all other countries not listed above

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least the minimum legal age for your country. Users found to be underage will have their account terminated without warning or appeal.

Multiple Accounts

Each person may only hold one GeeperPets account. You may not:

  • Create or maintain more than one account
  • Share your account with another person
  • Sell or trade your account
Additional accounts will be terminated. Repeated offenses may result in the primary account being terminated as well. Sold or traded accounts will also be terminated.

Personal Information

When creating your account you agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information — including your legal date of birth and a valid personal email address. You are required to keep this information current at all times.

Account Security

Do not share your account credentials with anyone. This includes your email address, password, or any two-factor authentication codes. Sharing this information puts your account at risk and there is no legitimate reason to do so.

GeeperPets staff will never ask you for your login information.

Behavior and Conduct

Note: this section will be expanded into a separate Code of Conduct / Community Guidelines page in the future.

Harassment

GeeperPets does not tolerate harassment or bullying of any user. The following are considered harassment:

  • Insulting or belittling other users
  • Threatening other users
  • Block-evading or stalking other users
  • Filing false reports repeatedly to get someone banned
  • Encouraging violence or harassment toward others
  • Aggressive or threatening language directed at others
  • Blackmailing others
  • Provoking others or using passive aggression
  • Doxxing (sharing someone's private personal information)
  • Using slurs against others, whether reclaimable or not
Minor offenses: warning or short suspension.
Continued harassment after a warning: account termination.
Severe offenses (doxxing, credible threats of bodily harm or death): immediate termination without warning or appeal.
Criminal threats or harassment may be forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

Discrimination and Slurs

GeeperPets does not tolerate discrimination against any user. The following are prohibited:

  • Hateful, disparaging, or derogatory comments about someone's race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability (physical or intellectual)
  • Promoting hateful or dangerous ideologies
  • Displaying hateful or dangerous symbols
  • Using any slur (whether directed at yourself or others)

Venting

While we care deeply about our users, GeeperPets staff are not qualified mental health professionals. We strongly encourage talking to a trusted person or therapist about sensitive subjects.

For the wellbeing and comfort of all users, please refrain from discussing triggering or distressing topics, or venting, in the forums or on your profile page.

Content

Do not post graphic or explicit content anywhere on the site, including your profile, your Geeper's profile, or the forums. Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

  • Gore or graphic violence
  • Nudity or sexual content
  • Images of deceased individuals

Art and Imagery

All art shared on GeeperPets must be your own, or shared with credit and the permission of the original artist. Do not claim traced or stolen artwork as your own.

  • Picrews and bases must be properly credited
  • AI-generated art or images are not permitted
First offense: warning. Second offense: suspension. Repeated offenses: account termination.

Submissions

Users may submit their own designs for potential addition to the website. Upon acceptance, submitted designs become the intellectual property of GeeperPets. They will be copyrighted and may be used in future merchandise or promotional materials.

Do not submit copyrighted or heavily inspired designs. You must disclose all inspirations behind your design to GeeperPets staff. Failing to do so (or submitting designs that infringe on existing intellectual property) can result in:

  • Permanent barring from future submissions
  • Suspension or termination of your account

We want your designs to thrive on the site just as much as you do. Please help us maintain that by being honest about your inspirations and respecting copyrighted intellectual property.
